Applications of TPE Gloves

TPE gloves are used for daily hand protection, and nitrile and latex gloves are used for mission-critical frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic-related glove storage.

As the global demand for personal protective equipment continues to increase, we must all find ways to ensure that the necessary resources are provided to the basic staff who need PPE-mainly those in mission-critical medical positions.

It is important that we keep nitrile and latex disposable gloves for health care workers and first responders, and at the same time determine appropriate alternatives for the general population and those who do not have high requirements for personal protective equipment. Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) gloves are an excellent alternative because they have several characteristics that make them an ideal alternative for hand protection in everyday settings. In particular, TPE gloves combine high ease of use and extensive chemical resistance to become an affordable and recyclable product that is comfortable for the wearer.

Applications of TPE gloves

Comfortable, low-cost, and broad-spectrum chemical-resistant TPE gloves allow them to be used in a variety of applications. It makes them ideal protection for low mechanical risk environments such as retail, beauty, housekeeping, cleaning, painting, and household services.

They are also ideal for food service and food preparation. Due to its clean production process, TPE products are food contact approved by the FDA. They provide workers with the high flexibility required for food preparation and production-they are usually available in multiple colors to address cross-contamination requirements.

The lightweight nature of TPE gloves and the broad chemical resistance of the material make them suitable for many applications under gloves. They can be used under knitted-impregnated mechanical protection gloves, and the wearer will be exposed to liquids that may harm the skin. Due to their low cost and lightweight, they can also be used in nitrile and latex, reusable chemical resistant gloves to enhance chemical protection. In these critical environments, wearing TPE gloves as an under glove can extend the life of the glove, protect the worker, and provide an extra sense of security.

It is these factors that make TPE gloves an ideal substitute for nitrile and latex disposable products. From extensive chemical resistance to clean manufacturing processes, these economical gloves have come a long way in providing light hand protection in a wide range of applications, as primary gloves for dexterity or as gloves for high-risk environments.

A Quick Guide To Thermoplastic Elastomer Gloves

Thermoplastic elastomer gloves are a new alternative to vinyl gloves and polyethylene gloves. They are made of polymers (thermoplastic elastomers) and have many advantages over traditional gloves.

These advantages include features such as the material having the same elasticity as rubber and the ability to be molded multiple times after heating. The material has very similar resistance to wear and tear, degree of strength, and elongation properties.

Read the Thermoplastic Elastomer Glove Quick Guide to learn more about the new glove alternatives on the market.

The advantages of thermoplastic elastomer gloves

Thermoplastic elastomer gloves combine many characteristics of natural rubber latex, such as elasticity and versatility, and combine it with the processing efficiency of plastics. The final product is a highly resistant material, which is the first choice for the medical and food, and beverage industries. More specific advantages include:

Environmental protection: A significant advantage of thermoplastic elastomer gloves is that they consume less energy during the production process. Since they are made of non-toxic recyclable plastics, they can usually be recycled through molding or extrusion processes.

High-temperature resistance: Thermoplastic elastomer gloves have outstanding thermal performance and stability under a wide range of temperature and environmental factors. This material is also chemically resistant and can also be made into flame retardants.

Versatility: This glove has a wide range of uses in composite materials and sizing-from soft and jelly to rigid and hard depending on the use.

Cost-effective: As an alternative to vinyl gloves, thermoplastic elastomer gloves are an efficient and low-cost alternative.

Industry safety: Thermoplastic elastomer gloves provide convenient disinfection and meet the standards of the medical and food and beverage industries.

The benefits of thermoplastic elastomer gloves

Thermoplastic elastomer gloves are a perfect substitute for vinyl gloves, polyethylene gloves, and various other types of gloves because they are made of durable, flexible, and elastic materials. These gloves are specifically designed for the Food Service and Food Processing Industries, which makes them the perfect choice for wholesalers and distributors in this industry.

They are also an excellent alternative to vinyl gloves because they are cheaper to produce and have significant advantages over traditional gloves.

TPE Gloves VS Nitrile Gloves

TPE Gloves VS Nitrile Gloves

1. Material: TPE has the physical and mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber and the processing properties of thermoplastics. It is a new type of polymer material between rubber and resin and is often referred to as the third generation of rubber. Nitrile is prepared by emulsion polymerization of butadiene and acrylonitrile. They are all synthetic rubber.

2. The oil resistance is equivalent, but TPE is not temperature resistant. The limit of nitrile butadiene rubber can be used up to 120 degrees, TPE will soften at this temperature.

3. At different prices, nitrile gloves are higher than TPE gloves.

Supplement:

TPE gloves are skin-friendly and do not contain plasticizers (phthalates), silicone, and latex. ...Compared with PE gloves, the fit and feel are significantly improved; Nitrile gloves are made of synthetic rubber and contain no natural protein. They do not cause allergies and they are anti-static gloves.
